If you think you have a good idea for a product, but no money to make it happen Kickstarter is the place to go. A litany of cool tech products have started there getting the funding needed to come to life. One of the cool products from a bit over a year ago was an Android gaming controller called the Phonejoy.
The company raised almost $70,000 in January of 2013 and has been working on its product ever sense. If you were a backer of the Phonejoy on Kickstarter, you will be glad to hear your controller is finally shipping. Early backers should get their units any time now.
If you didn't back the product, but need a good game controller for your Android smartphone, iCade, or PC, you will soon be able to order one. The Phonejoy will be available online on April 8 for $69.90.
The big feature of the device is that it slides open so you can put your smartphone in the center of the controller. It has multiple buttons, a d-pad, and dual analog control sticks. I would assume games need to be compatible to support the controller, so keep that in mind.
