Sony 20.1MP a3500 DSLR hits the web

Sony Australia has pulled the wraps off a new digital camera that looks like a solid offering at a nice price. The camera is called the a3500 and it has a 20.1MP Exmor APS HD CMOS sensor inside. The camera can shoot HD resolution video as well.

The ISO range is up to 16000 and the camera works with Sony E-mount lenses. There are a number of automatic and manual modes built into the camera it also has a number of creative picture effects.

Movies are recorded in AVCHD format and MP4. Dolby Digital 2ch sound is supported and the camera can save content to Sony memory Stick and SD cards. The rear LCD is a 3-inch unit with a resolution of 230,400 dots. The camera is tipped to have a price of AU$499 including a kit 18-50mm lens.
