CeBIT 2014 - Our man on the ground, Johannes Knapp, is doing the leg work for us in Germany right now as CeBIT 2014 is currently under way. He stopped by the Samsung booth and took a look at its new ATIV Book 9 Ultrabook.

What makes Samsung's ATIV Book 9 stand out from the growing crowd of Ultrabooks is that it features a leather design, similar to that of the Galaxy Note 3 smartphone. The ATIV Book 9 is a 15.6-inch Ultrabook, and inside we have 8GB of RAM and a 128GB SSD which should satisfy most users' needs. The Ultrabook is powered by Intel's fourth-generation "Haswell" Core i5 processor, with the 15.6-inch display featuring a 1920x1080 - or Full HD - resolution.

The ATIV Book 9 weighs 1.95kg (or 4.2 pounds) and 17.5mm thin. We also have two 2w speakers, two USB 3.0 ports, a USB 2.0 port, HDMI out, and a 3-in-1 card reader. As for battery life, Samsung claims up to 12 hours - so shave off a few hours and you'll find your normal, everyday battery life expectancy.
