- New Half-Life 2 Screenshots

There's been three fresh screenies posted over at ComputerandVideoGames of the (still) upcoming Half Life 2. It's looking absolutely brilliant, I just wish Valve would be more clear as to it's release date......

At the time of writing, we're still no more clued up about exactly when the game will appear. Valve is being very cagey on this subject, though the developer was kind enough to send us these three stunning exclusive shots for you to feast your eyes on. Nice, aren't they?

- IBM ThinkPad T40

The guys from ArsTechnica have reviewed IBM's new ThinkPad T40 laptop based on the Pentium M 1.6GHz chip. It has several nifty features such as WiFi with the antenna built into the lid, a very nice lappy indeed.

Excellent battery life usually is near the top of any list of must-have laptop features, with a good warranty a close second. My previous laptop had been a Gateway Solo 2500 which gave me about 3 hours of battery life when I first purchased it. The Solo 2500 also had a great warranty (which came in handy one more than one occasion). So with these requirements in mind, it was time to score a new portable. When the dust settled there was one laptop still standing: The IBM ThinkPad T40. After reading about the prowess of its Pentium M CPU and excellent battery life, we were excited about buying ours and digging in.
