Free-to-play mech game Hawken stomps onto Steam this month
Adhesive Games' free-to-play mech combat game, Hawken, will arrive on Steam later this month.
Adhesive Games' free-to-play mech combat title, Hawken, is heading over to Steam very shortly. As of today, the developer will phase out its existing launcher and gameplay services, in favor of moving its current players to a pre-release version of the game on Steam.

After that, Hawken will require Steam to play, with the game not being accessible outside of Valve's digital distribution client. All player progress won't be lost, with Adhesive Games shifting it all over to the new Steam version. Current Hawken players will receive early access to the Steam version, with Adhesive noting: "This patch will be missing some core content and you may run into some of our QA testers still working on final polish. Right now, we're aiming for a formal release of the update in the next couple of weeks".
