CES 2014 - Sharp has just unveiled a beautiful new high-resolution TV, that makes 4K whimper in the corner. Sharp's new 85-inch 8K TV is 3D-capable, with the company collaborating with Philips and Dolby to offer users a "lifelike 3D picture" without the need of glasses.

Sharp's new 85-inch 8K TV offers a resolution of 7680x4320, which is 16x the resolution offered by 1920x1080, or Full HD. There's absolutely no word on pricing or a launch date, but I would say this TV would only be for the rich, or home theater enthusiasts.
