CES 2014 - ASUS' Zenbook UX301LA Ultrabook is going to be using some seriously slick storage tech with SanDisk, with its X110 SSD being chosen by ASUS for its new Ultrabook.
The new Zenbook UX301LA features two of SanDisk's M.2 2260 form-factor X110 SSDs, which are available in either 128GB or 256GB capacities. Both drives will be running circles around each other in RAID 0 for some serious storage numbers. This will see a total of 512GB (256GB + 256GB) in the ASUS Zenbook UX301LA Ultrabook.
S.Y. Shian, Corporate Vice President and General Manager of ASUS' Notebook Business Unit, says: "With the ZENBOOK UX301LA, we have combined the enjoyment of a high-end laptop, powerful computing capability and a strikingly thin design to create one of the most stylish and functional Ultrabooks we have ever introduced. SanDisk's fast X110 SSD brings a responsive, dependable and truly enjoyable user experience to our new ZENBOOK while the small form factor of the SSDs helped to keep the notebook slim, light-weight, and highly portable".
