Opera version 18 is optimized for use with larger Android tablets. Opera 18 now has tabs similar to the ones found on Chrome. The update is not just a scaled up version of the standard Opera.
Opera 18 lets you swipe through newspapers and magazines, and they have placed the menu and navigation buttons in a way that they are located where your fingers rest. It also has Opera's speed dial and off-road data saving. Opera 18 for Android is available now on the Google Play Store.
Opera's mobile browser chief Johan Schön: "The size of devices and mindset of users make the tablet very different from its smaller cousin, the smartphone, and we have to respect that. In Opera 18 for Android, we have spent hours and hours tweaking, and fiddling with the placement of, even the most minute detail, just to get that top tablet feel."
