- BeanTech BT9023 Plus 7 in 1 Card Reader

Here's a nifty little device that just helps to make your everyday tasks that little bit easier, particularly if you have a digital camera or other peripheral device that you often plug in and out of your pc. It also has the flexibility of working either as an internal or external device, making it ideal for people on the go with laptops as well. David over at 8ballshardware takes a look at it in more detail for us.

BeanTech has delivered a very interesting product here. While at heart it is still a plain old card reader device, BeanTech manages to add a very invaluable feature which makes it stand out from all the other card readers avaliable on the market: the ability to mount it into the case, or to remove and use as a portable device. Both ways, you save on space and clutter. Internally, you won't have another card reader cluttering up your workspace. Externally, you can use on while travelling, especially for laptop users. The addition of two USB ports extended from the mainboard USB header is also useful for end users, as most times, motherboard manufacturers provide two USB headers on the motherboard, but only one USB bracket, leaving the other header unused. USB 2.0 transfer speed support also helps increase performance in file transfer rates to and from the device.
