Plex is one of those pieces of software that some of us just can not live without, and today the media server and streaming app just got even better. Today Plex announced that it has updated its software to add in some awesome and useful features including the ability to sync media to cloud storage services.

Cloud Sync for Plex allows users to link up their Dropbox, Google Drive, and Box accounts and any media you sync to those services will automatically be optimized for streaming and then uploaded to the cloud alongside the files metadata. This allows users to have a sudo media server in the cloud for use when they are away from home.

Additionally, a new feature has been included that will allow users to save videos from their favorite sites and queue them up for viewing at a later time. This feature lets users find videos on their laptop or PC and then queue it up for viewing on their connected TV. This is accomplished by downloading a plugin for your browser which you can find at the second source link below.
