Latest video on the Nexus 5 brings us closer to its announcement
Below you'll find a delicious 7-minute video on the upcoming Nexus 5 smartphone that we all know is coming, but Google hasn't confirmed just yet. The video was taken on October 9, according to the lockscreen, and shows off a prototype of the Nexus 5, without the Nexus branding on the back of the phone.
There's a bunch of content missing from the prototype, but this is expected as it is an early device. The build on the Nexus 5 says KeyLimePie, which is interesting as that build of Android is version 5.0. This could be an earlier build of the device, with Google only announcing Android 4.4 KitKat in early September.
So maybe, just maybe, Google's internal name for the OS on the Nexus 5 was originally Key Lime Pie, but things change somewhere close to the end of August, and it was switched to Android 4.4 "KitKat." No matter what, we should see this bad boy of a smartphone unveiled in the next week or so, fingers crossed.
