It looks like Google is poised to unleash Google TV v4 in the next ocuple of weeks, according to GTV Hacker team member 'CJ Heres' who found a zip file containing the open sourced code for LG's Google TV devices. He hacked it into a ROM and has it running on a Sony box.
The code was updated sometime last week, and runs Linux 3.4.5, which is the same version that Jelly Bean is based on. Google has also confirmed that the Google TV platform will soon see a Chromecast-style set of features, and will "bring the latest experience of Android and Chrome to devices." We could also reportedly see a change from 'Google TV' to 'Android TV' which really solidifies the fact that we should see Android 4.4 KitKat announced next week with the Nexus 5.
