Micromax unveils new Canvas Tab P650, a $260 8-inch Android tablet
Today, Micromax announced the release of its new Canvas Tab P650, an 8-inch tablet that is the first slate in Micromax's Canvas lineup. The new tablet runs Android 4.2.2 and features voice call functionality, making it one of the largest phablets ever produced. However, the shine begins to wear off when you take a look at the specs.

The tablet sports a large eight-inch display with a 1024x768-pixel resolution, which in today's age is quite poor when compared to other tablets in this class. A 1.2GHz quad-core MediaTek MT8389 processor is also featured, which again is not very impressive. 1GB of RAM and 16GB of onboard storage is present, though, and should keep things running smoothly.
A 4800mAh battery does well to lift our spirits a little until you learn that it's only rated for five hours of continuous use. Fortunately, the device only costs about $260 and for the time being, it is only available in India.
