The Sony Xperia Z1 isn't a stranger to most, but we know it mainly as Sony's "Honami" smartphone. There's an official-ish render of the device, which, as you can see below, looks very similar to the striking Xperia Z smartphone.
The shots come from Chinese forum Digi-Wo, which show the Xperia Z1 in three colors: black, white and purple, which seem to be three staple colors from Sony's current flagship range. Both the Xperia Z and Xperia Z Ultra are featured in those three colors. The Honami sports a 20-megapixel rear-facing camera with Sony G Lens, which should impress.
Inside the Z1, we can expect Qualcomm's snappy Snapdragon 800 SoC, 2GB of RAM and microSD expandability. As for release or an official announcement, we should expect to hear something at the pre-IFA press conference from Sony on September 4.
