Google said to be investigating multi-touch issues on new Nexus 7s

Some users are complaining of issues with multi-touch on their new Nexus 7 tablets, Google said to be investigating a fix

It appears that users of Google's latest generation Nexus 7 have started reporting issues with the tablet's multi-touch features. Multiple videos have popped up on YouTube that show the touchscreen registering inputs that are not real and then proceeding to spaz--it's a technical term--out before returning to normal.

Google says that "The Android team is aware of this issue and investigating." It is still unclear at the moment whether the issue is software related or hardware related, and I think I speak for everyone when I say that I hope it is software related. A mass recall would be very costly in both terms of repair as well as consumer trust for the recently released 7-inch slate.
