I reviewed the Sony Xperia Z a little while back and loved it, I donned it our Editor's Choice Award and was left with the feeling that it could be the phone that sees Sony walk out from behind Samsung's shadow. Sure, they're not selling 10 million smartphones a month, but not everyone has the power to do that.
One thing I've wanted for a while is just a pure Android experience, which is why my day-to-day smartphone is still the Nexus 4. But, the "Google Edition" smartphones are definitely getting more and more popular with Samsung announcing the Galaxy S4 Google Edition and then we saw HTC unveil the One Google Edition. Rumor has it that Sony and Google are preparing a stock Android version of the Xperia Z, which is something I would truly, truly love to see.
If you've been sitting on the fence from both the Galaxy S4 and One, then having a third choice just might make things easier for you. The Xperia Z is truly a work of art and worthy of your hard-earned dollars, even more so as a 'Google Edition'.
