Curved screens were all the rage at this year's Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, and LG was noticeably one of the biggest purveyors of curved screen technology at this year's show. Now those curved screens will be making way into your living-rooms by the end of the year, according to recent reports.
In an interview with Trusted Reviews, LG Vice President Thomas Lee said that "curved TVs are coming in the second half of this year." The Verge also confirmed this with a spokesman for LG who said that curved screen TVs will begin shipping "sometime later this year."
Curved screen televisions are said to offer a more immersive and panoramic experience over traditional flat panel displays. They are touted as having a wider range of viewing angles and we've seen reports of less eye strain, when viewed at a close distance.
