John over at HomeLan Fed has posted an exclusive interview with Nicklas Renqvist and Patric Ojala from Futuremark, formerly Madonion, the company behind the infamous 3DMark series.

They discuss their upcoming DX9 compatible benchmark program, 3DMark03. Lips were tightly sealed, except from letting us know that the 2003 version will be released in Q1 and it is still in development - an interesting read nevertheless.

HomeLAN - What is the current status of 3DMark03, when will it be release and what different versions will be available for both free and paid downloads?Nicklas Renqvist - The current status of 3DMark03 is that it is still in development. The exact release date is not yet announced, but it will be out in Q1 of 2003. I can't comment on what 3DMark03 Professional Edition has included, or what the free version lacks, but what I can say is that we emphasized on the Pro version a lot this year. The free version is only a fraction of what the benchmark is all about.
