BlackBerry, the company formerly known as Research in Motion, wrapped up its launch event this morning in NYC by cluing journalist in on the release dates of the new BlackBerry 10 smartphones.
The feature rich, touchscreen based Z10 will be available through all four major US carriers in March with an MSRP of $199 with a two-year contract or $599 off contract. The device goes live in the UK tomorrow and in Canada on February 5th with a price tag of $149.99 with a four year contract. It will reach the Middle East on February 10th with pricing and contract length undisclosed.
It seems like there was great fanfare for the QWERTY keyboard sporting Q10 and rightfully so as there is still a major user base of BlackBerry users who love their keyboard-based phones. Sadly they will have to wait until sometime in April before the device hits shelves. No pricing or carrier information has been released for the Q10 at this time.
