It's usually Apple that gets things right the first time around, but they really dropped the ball with the iPad mini. It's lacklustre display mixed with it's huge price tag when versed against the much cheaper Nexus 7 hurt Apple.
The latest rumors to begin circling is that the iPad mini 2 would sport a Retina display, which is, I guess, news to no one. The original iPad mini should've included it, but didn't and it looks like Apple will tweak the iPad mini to include the high-res display. There is also more talk of the iPhone 5S, and a "slightly tweaked version" of the iPhone 5.
The iPhone 5S talk is pushing that the next-gen iPhone would feature a higher-end A7 processor, fingerprint sensor as well as an improved camera and smart flash. I guess we'll see in a few months time.
