Huawei to unleash even more smartphones at Mobile World Congress next month

Mobile World Congress will see Huawei amplify their smartphone offerings

Huawei used the Consumer Electronics Show 2013 last week in Vegas to unveil two new smartphones, but it looks like we're going to see the same strong presence and unveiling of new devices at Mobile World Congress next month.

The news comes from Huawei's Consumer Business Group's head, Richard Yu. Yu wouldn't go into details of course, but he's quoted as saying "Huawei will be launching two new products at MWC that are more innovative than these phones." The phones he is referring to are the Ascend D2 and Ascend Mate. Considering the Ascend D2 sports a 5-inch 1920x1080-pixel display and the Ascend Mate sports a huge 6.1-inch device, this should excite most.

What innovative smartphones could we expect from Huawei? Something thinner? Something much faster? Something that has a little of both? We only have a few weeks left until we find out, and we should be bringing you this news live from MWC 2013 itself.
