iPad mini shipping estimates drop to one week for US, Canada; demand falling or supply catching up

Apple appears to be catching up on iPad mini demand, shipping lead time drops to one week for US/Can

If you're looking to pick up a new iPad mini for Christmas, now may be the time to do so. Apple has reduced the estimated shipping time down to one week for those in the United States and Canada. This could be because either supply is catching up to the demand or the demand for the products has slipped.

Either way, the iPad mini is expected to ship one week after the order is placed. Other countries are still facing a two-week shipping delay, so Apple could be prioritizing US shipments over the rest of the world. However, the cause of US shipments dropping to one week will likely lead to the other countries' shipment times being reduced as well.

As we previously reported, iPhone 5 supply and demand are starting to equalize, though the iMac, released last week, continues to see shipping estimates slip later and later. Apple warned that the iMac supply would be severely constrained until well into next year.
