New rumors are surfacing that the iPad mini, rumored to be announced on October 23, will begin being sold on pre-order on October 26 with a November 2 launch date. The rumors aren't exactly based upon anything solid; a few companies have heard whispers of the rumored November 2 launch date.
The date makes sense. It's in-line with previous Apple launches, with the product going on pre-sale pretty quickly right after the announcement and the product actually launching roughly a week after pre-sales open. There is no reason to assume that Apple will break this cycle, even though they have broken the traditional Wednesday press event.
