Microsoft's BetaPlace Hacked

Microsoft's BetaPlace Hacked news post from TweakTown's online news computing and technology content pages

It seems like this is is a pretty action packed month! Yesterday, Dirtydog from our forums let us know that McDonald's web terminals were being plagued with pornographic popups, and today it seems Microsoft has found themselves on the receiving end. A group identifying themselves as iNFLUNCE has reportedly taken credit for this incident.

MICROSOFT'S BETA WEBSITE , BetaPlace, was downed by a bunch of hackers who hacked into the security servers and stole the entire database of Microsoft Technical Beta Tester accounts, we learn.

The beta site contains test versions of Microsoft software including forthcoming Windows test code. The company says the hackers weren't able to land any source code, but were able to scarper with some "buggy" software.

On second thought, isn't "buggy" software more akin to "the finished product"? ;)
