RumorTT: Microsoft's cheapest Surface tablet could cost $1,000
Swedish website Webhallen.com is reporting the prices for all four upcoming Microsoft Surface tablets, which covers both the RT and Pro editions. A screengrab from WPCentral shows the pricing:

This means we're looking at around $1,000 for an ARM-based Windows RT device in its 32GB flavor. Considering the 32GB Wi-Fi-only iPad is around $100 cheaper than the above Surface tablet, Microsoft could have some issues here.
I will still be grabbing a Surface personally, but this price is going to turn many, many people away. Apple's iPad has its foot firmly placed into the market, and its hard to sell anything but an iDevice to most people these days. Microsoft will need to make a loss on each Surface tablet if it even wants to begin competing in the market.
But then again, the Surface isn't out, and this is a RumorTT post. Things could change over the coming months.
