DigiTimes are running an interesting story saying that ATI don't think the delayed launch of DX9 will harm sales of their R9700 PRO graphics chips.

ATI Technologies and its card-making partners said that they expected little sales impact from Microsoft's reported delay in launching its DirectX 9 standard, adding that the postponement made no difference, as most games in the market do not even support the earlier DirectX 8.1.
