Google update Flight Search, find flights while on the go

Google Flight Search gets updated, now on mobile devices
By Anthony Garreffa from Feb 23, 2012 @ 3:26 CST

Google launched Flight Search for the desktop in September last year, and since then they have been working that hammer to nail down its features, as well as increasing coverage and making it easier to find flight results directly from on your desktop. Now, they've just made it much easier, allowing you to find flights departing from the US directly from your mobile device.

Google have used an example:

For example, when you search for [flights from Chicago to Daytona Beach] you'll see a table that shows available flights, including duration and prices. You can adjust dates on the page, or click any flight to further research and book your trip.

Flight Search on mobiles offers the same feature set that Flight Search on the desktop did, with the following features:

Find flights quickly with results that load instantly and a list that's easy to scan.

Discover places to go on a map - see ticket prices for various destinations by surfing the map. You can filter by price, airline, or flight duration.

Find the best time to go - Click the calendar icon to see what dates will get you low prices.

This feature is available for both Android and iOS-based devices.
