id Software and parent company Bethesda Softworks have just announced the dates for this year's QuakeCon. QuakeCon 2012 is set to be held at the Hilton Anatole Hotel in Dallas, Texas from August 2-5.
Admission is free and in addition to the awesome BYOC (Bring-Your-Own-Computer) LAN, Bethesda Softworks will offer the first chance anywhere for gamers to get their hands on upcoming titles, and leading technology companies will also be there to demonstrate their latest hardware and software.
Over the course of QuakeCon 2012, there will be plenty of contests, live entertainment, announcements, panel discussions, parties, and more. What I would like to hear from QuakeCon is id Software and Bethesda Software to announce "Doom 4 is coming in early 2013, a PC-exclusive on a true PC-only next-generation engine that will scale over to next-gen consoles".
