BitFenix is back in the limelight with yet another mid-tower chassis launched today that is aimed at the budget gaming crowd.
Dubbed the Merc, it comes in two variants - the Alpha and the Beta. Both cases are coated black inside and out, running measurements of 439 (H) x 190 (W) x 490 (D) mm. There is room to accomodate up to three 5.25" devices and there are seven 3.5" bays + 1x2.5" bay internally.
The top mounted I/O panel has four USB 2.0 ports, headphone and mic jacks. Both versions of the case ship with a 120mm fan at the rear, but the "Beta" model is capable of taking on another five, while the Alpha can take up to eight fans total (you can see the mounting holes and mesh grills on top in the pic).
BitFenix once again has got some aggressive pricing happening with the Merc series mid towers both costing just $39 USD.
