GIGABYTE shows a glimpse of a OC board
Calls it Hi Cookie's Baby.
CES 2011, Las Vegas - January 5th 2011, GIGABYTE gives a sneak peak at a new overclocking board. During the launch of the G1-Killer line of motherboards Tim Handly gave the audience a glimpse of a new board built just for overclocking. The new and unnamed board has been designed by Hi Cookie himself. Tim teased the crowd with very few (almost none) details and a 5 second look at the board ona slide.
ccording to what we have been able to tell the board has been stripped of everything you do not need to overclock. The removal of these "useless" peripherals you have a very simplified trace layout, power managemet scheme and you can tune for performance much easier than a board that is loaded up (even one that alows you to diable those items). Tim also noted that this baord is being designed by Hi Cookie himself so you know it is going to be good.
