The new MacBook Air notebook computers are undeniably cool and look great. The machines perform decently enough as well for most users. Some folks with the new MacBook Air notebooks have reported video issues that are noticed when the machine is woke from sleep. When the machine comes back on, the screen flickers and fades among other symptoms.

Apple has already noted that it is aware of the issues and has been working on them. Last week the OS X update to version 10.6.5 was released and a new support page has now turned up on the Apple site that says the update fixes the video issues for the users.

Apple's support page says that the symptoms of the issue on the MacBook Air are "After waking from sleep, your MacBook Air display may flicker or fade from light to dark repeatedly." The cure for the problem is the update says Apple. I'd like to hear from anyone with one of the Airs that had the screen issue and has seen it resolved with the applying of the new update.
