Look out, Kindle and Kobo; the new Nook Color is here and looking to take the tablet world by storm. With a seven inch, LG made 1024x600 full-color LCD touchscreen the Nook Color is making its attempt to bridge the gap between e-reader and tablet.

8GB of onboard storage with a microSD slot for expanded memory and WiFi connectivity for internet browsing, book downloading and app grabbing round out the Android based interface. Music playback ability while reading books is nice, as is the family oriented "Nook Kids" feature that uses professional narrators to read interactive picture books to your kids. Apps will not come from the Android Market and will have to be specifically developed for the Nook Color. November 19th is the target launch date and prices are expected to be around $250 at Walmart, Best Buy, Books-a-Million, and Barnes & Noble locations.
