Intel keeps rolling out the new design ideas at IDF. Next on the list: a new classmate PC design. Featuring "increased ruggedness, longer battery life, improved water resistance and additional anti-microbial protection," this clamshell PC is built to take nearly whatever a kid can throw at it.

This design helps protect the PC against liquid spills of up to 100cc, accidental drops of up to 70cm, and may be implemented in classrooms worldwide with "a wide selection of purpose-built solutions for education tailored to meet their needs." Hopefully the price will also be tailored towards being able to get it in the classroom as well.
