Christie announces new and very bright projectors in E-series value line

New projectors are very bright

I think that we would be hard pressed to actually consider anything with the Christie name on it to be a value offering. Christie makes some of the best projectors anywhere, but they also tend to be some of the most expensive projectors around. You have probably seen a Christie projector in action at your local theater.

Christie has unveiled a new E-series of projectors that it considers the value line. The new series includes the DHD670-E and the DWU670-E. The projectors share the same basic features, but do differ in one key area. The common features include 1-chip DLP tech with up to 6,000 ANSI lumens of brightness and a 5000:1 contrast ratio. The dual mercury lamp configuration makes the projectors bright enough for large or medium size conference rooms and other locations

The only difference in the two projectors comes in the resolution. The DHD670-E model has a native resolution of 1920 x 1080 while the DWU670-E has a resolution of 1920 x 1200. The projectors can also optimize themselves for use with a single lamp if needed. Both use a six-segment color wheel and have an option rich color wheel.
