WinHEC 2002 Coverage @ VIA Hardware news post from TweakTown's online news computing and technology content pages

VIA Hardware have posted some coverage of WinHEC 2002. There is nothing excitingly new in the article from what we've already seen, but it was an interesting read telling us what WinHEC is all about and what companies like AMD, Intel, VIA and SiS were displaying at the event.

Several times each year, Microsoft holds a large gathering of corporate executives, code warriors, and technical gurus. They also sometimes let in press guys like me. The main purpose behind this gathering is to get hardware developers online with the Windows driver implementation process. Far too often, a small company builds a piece of hardware, before ever considering how it will talk with the Operating System. WinHEC was propagated to avoid just this type of confusion.
