Lite-On has announced a new internal DVD burner called the iHAS524. The burner is capable of writing to DVDs at 24x speed on compatible DVD media. That speed makes it one of the faster DVD burners around.

In addition to fast burning, the drive also has LabelTag technology that lets the user label the top of compatible media similar to LightScribe. The iHAS524 is available now for $39.99.
