External drive enclosures are a great way to get use out of extra HDDs and SSDs that you have laying around taking up space. Sharkoon has announced a new enclosure that looks good and offers UDSB 3.0 connectivity.

The enclosure is called the Rapid Case and it is made from aluminum. The case supports 2.5 and 3.5-inch HDDs and can work with SSDs too. The case also works with USB 2.0 and has eSATA connectivity.

The external case measures 205mm x 115mm x 35m and weighs 460g. It can be connected to Windows XP, Vista, and 7 machines and ships with the needed USB 3.0 cable. The thing will sell for 29.90 euros.
