P4 Northwood Voltage Mod

P4 Northwood Voltage Mod news post from TweakTown's online news computing and technology content pages

VR-Zone Hardware have posted a guide on how to voltage mod the P4 Northwood to set the default voltage from 1.5V to 1.85V for that extra bit of overclockability - Although I find my P4 1.6A can do 2.1GHz or higher at the default core volatge of 1.5V. However, by doing this mod, the board you use no longer requires support for any voltage tweaking and you will still be able to carry on with the overclocking. Also they addressed the issue of the cold booting problem of the Gigabyte 8IRXP that occurs when there is manual tweaking to VCore voltage from the BIOS and this method will solve the problem.
