Samsung offers up X170 Barbie edition notebook

For the Barbie girl, in a Barbie world

Samsung has a lot of different notebooks and netbooks. The company has machines that fit into different categories for ultraportable and power users. The latest notebook offering from Samsung is the X170 and as you can tell from the retina burning pink hue and silhouette, the machine is for the Barbie girl.

The machine is an odd mix of what appears to be a machine aimed at younger girls with a Barbie doll that uses a tiny toy notebook that looks just like the full size rig and hardware aimed at adults. The Barbie motif would be better suited to a netbook aimed at kids I think.

The machine has an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, 4GB of RAM, and a 500GB HDD. It can also be had in black and it has Barbie themes and wall paper installed. Pricing and availability are unknown.
