I have told many people that the iPad is sort of like a netbook without an attached keyboard. It has about the same performance and about the same screen size as a netbook. If you want to actually turn your iPad into a netbook, you might be able to do that using the ClamCase.

The ClamCase is a case for the iPad that holds it inside the lid of a Bluetooth keyboard you can use to type. I can see this thing being useful at a desk, but one of the things I like about the iPod is its portability on the go.

Full details of exactly how the case works and how much it costs aren't available right now. The ClamCase is expected to launch this fall.
