There have been many companies that have looked to revamp the landline with cool phones that offer some of the features we expect in smartphones today like apps and more. So far, all of the devices offered in the US have failed.

Telstra is set to give it a shot in Australia with a new device called the T-Hub. The T-Hub will launch on April 20 and will feature apps and a touchscreen. The tablet phone plugs into the wall and is being marketed as a family organizer.

The device has a speakerphone built-in and comes with a cordless handset too. The device will cost $300 AUD or you can get it for $35 AUD monthly with 2GB of data per month on a 24-month contract.
