There are tons of camcorders on the market today running the gamut from cheap units that are made for YouTube quality video to very expensive prosumer camcorders capable of professional grade recording. Toshiba has announced a new line of camcorders that fits into the lower end of the market.
The new line includes the Camileo S20, H30, and X100 cameras. The S20 is a small and thin camcorder only .67" thick and weighing 3.5 ounces. It has a YouTube upload button and a 3-inch LCD. Other features include 4x digital zoom and a 5MP CMOS sensor that records in 1080p.
The H30 has a 5x optical zoom lens, 3-inch touchscreen LCD, 10MP CMOS sensor, and full 1080p resolution. The X100 offers 10x optical zoom, 3-inch touchscreen, 10MP CMOS sensor, 1080p 30fps resolution, and more. The S20 sells for $179.99, the H30 goes for $249.99, and the X100 is $399.99. All will ship on April 19.
