I'm not sure who the HTC CEO is trying to convince that the Google Nexus One is doing well. Reports have shown that the device has sold in small numbers since it was released and hasn't proven to be popular like the iPhone or DROID.
Peter Chou says that the Nexus One was designed more to show what Android could do than it was intended to set sales records. I for one don't; believe that at all. I am sure Google expected the thing to be huge and it just wasn't.
Those hellacious termination fees didn't help the thing. Chou says that considering the handset had no traditional marketing its sales numbers are good. Chou put so much spin on the poor sales reports that our days are a few microseconds shorter now.
