Unknown Virus hits FBI and US Marshals
No E-Mail today.
The FBI, the US Marshals and at least one other undisclosed agency were hit by an unknown virus yesterday.
No one is saying where the virus came from but parts of the non-classified networks of both law enforcement agencies were disconnected from the internet and had mail service suspended while they sort of the infections.
US-CERT, which investigates incidents like this, has yet to make any announcements on the issue. It is likely that this infection will not hinder the FBI or US Marshal's ability to operate as the Virus did not penetrate their internal networks or compromise any classified areas.

A spokesperson for the U.S. Marshals Service confirmed that it had disconnected from Justice Department computers as a precaution after being hit with the virus, while an FBI spokesperson would only say that it was experiencing similar issues, according to the report.
"We too are evaluating a network issue on our external, unclassified network that's affecting several government agencies," FBI spokesman Mike Kortan told the AP.
