AMD still claim its Radeon X2s are better

but who are they trying to kid?!?!

In an attempt to regain some praise for its existing Radeon HD 4870 X2 and 4850 X2 graphics cards since NVIDIA overshadowed them with the mighty GTX 295 and 285 graphics cards, AMD has begun its marketing offensive attack.


Despite the mass of evidence on the web proving the vastly superior performance characteristics of the GTX 295 and the fact that the 285 is a single GPU card vs the dual GPU models AMD/ATI pits it against in these 'tests', the company has put together a bunch of slides with benchmarks showing that the performance of their once supreme X2 cards is still better on a wide scale.....

Slides like these are usually only meant for use in presentations to influence OEMs and channel vendors to push their products as being the better choice, even if it means twisting the truth way out of proportion. But more often than not such slides make their way into the public realm.
