Bethesda paywalls new Oblivion Remastered quests and armor

Bethesda has officially showcased Oblivion Remastered in a recent livestream, where the company unveiled the incredible visual overhaul on the nearly 20-year-old game.

Oblivion Remastered was leaked online ahead of the official unveiling, and following a slew of rumors pointing to Bethesda making the highly anticipated title immediately available after it was officially showcased, the game is currently available to download. Yes, that's right, it's already out, and on every platform besides the Nintendo Switch (Xbox Series X|S, PC, and PlayStation 5. Bethesda has launched Oblivion Remastered in two editions: Standard and Deluxe.

The company didn't go into the differences between these editions during the livestream, but heading over to the Bethesda website listing for Oblivion Remastered, I quickly noticed additional content, such as quests that reward armor, isn't included in the Standard Edition. According to the Deluxe Edition listing, buyers will unlock new quest lines that will reward players with "unique digital Akatosh and Mehrunes Dagon Armors, Weapons, and Horse Armor Sets."

The main difference between the Deluxe and Standard edition of the game is the new quests/armor sets, Digital Artbook, and Soundtrack app. The Standard Edition includes everything else, such as the two main DLC expansions: Shivering Isles and Knights of the Nine.
