Intel is expected to welcome a new addition to its Core 2 Quad menu, following the launch of its Nehalem microarchitecture derived Core i7 SKUs, of course.
This article from Fudzilla claims that, on November 30th, the Santa Clara, CA based company will launch a 2.5 GHz Core 2 Quad Q8300 flavour, utilising a 1333 MHz FSB and endowed with 4 MB cache.
Despite an identical clock speed to its Q9300 brethren, the Q8300 will feature less cache than its sibling and boast a launch price of $224, it appears.
Intel's Q8200 offering, running at 2.33 GHz, is expected to receive a price cut, to $193, thereby making room for this new addition.
