DFI DK P45-T2RS Plus sets WR Super PI 1M
After having already seen evidence of the incredible overclocking capabilities behind DFI's new DK P45-T2RS PLUS motherboard, no less than a 693MHz FSB in fact, now we see another result shared with the masses which matches an ultra high FSB with an ultra ULTRA high CPU clockspeed.
As you can see in the above screenshot, the result is quite astonishing with a clockrate of 6562MHz from the E8600 processor thanks to the 656MHz FSB, x10 multi and LN2 cooling on tap. Though, this wasn't possible without the voltage needing a huge boost to 1.97v.

ASUS out with world's thinnest 22-inch LCD monitor
It would not be a normal day without ASUS launching a few new products and one of them today is the rather attractive looking LS221H widescreen LCD.
It is a 22-inch monitor capable of a resolution of 1680x1050 WSXGA+ which ASUS is claiming is the world's thinnest with the bezel measuring just 45mm thick. It's no OLED monitor which when they start hitting retail will have a bezel thickness of around 10mm but this is nevertheless quite impressive. It also features diamond cut corners and glass edges fused with a glossy black piano finish and the bottom front of the monitor also gets a layer of genuine leather.

Samsung take aim at Macbook Air with X360 notebook
Samsung has just announced its new X360 notebook which claims to be lighter than air - lighter than the Macbook Air maybe.
The X360 weighs in at just 2.8 pounds and measures as thin as 0.66 inches. It is based on Intel's Centrino 2 ULV processor platform and comes with 1GB of memory as standard but will fit up to 4GB if required. As far as storage goes, you have the choice between a 64GB or 128GB SSD or if that's asking a little too much from your wallet, you can go for a regular 5400RPM 120GB HDD.

Sony out with yet another Cyber-shot, welcome T500
Sony has been super busy with its Cyber-shot range of small digital camera over the past year or so. It seems like only yesterday that I picked up the DSC-T200, but that was soon replaced by the T300 and now today Sony has taken the covers off its Cyber-shot DSC-T500 model.
The T500 carries a similar look and feel as the T200 and T300 with some slight visual changes on the outside but inside is where the big changes occur. It now is able to take photos at a massive 10.1 megapixels and probably the biggest selling point of this camera is that it can shoot 720p video at 30 frames per second for up to 10 minutes per video. You can record hours of video using a Memory Stick media card which are now sold separately up to 16GB in size.

NVIDIA give into pressure, allow native SLI on X58
From what we have seen, heard and observed over the past few weeks or so and even much longer actually, it was clear one of two things was going to happen to NVIDIA's SLI technology when we came to a cross roads like it is at now.
We once heard from a certain NVIDIA employee two years ago who sits quite high up in the company after quite a few a lot of drinks at a certain Taipei hang-out that and we quote, "Intel will only get SLI on its chipsets in exchange for allowing us (NVIDIA) to make chipsets without any licensing fees". That chances of that happening were obviously really slim. That didn't happen, so...
