During NVISION, NVIDIA's fancy new show held just the week after IDF, Scott over at Tech Report managed to get his hands on Gigabyte's upcoming M912V netbook - he even managed to get some Gigabyte booth babes to pose for the photo and that is the type of thing we like to encourage.

The girls are suited up in skimpy pink outfits... oh crap - focus on the tech side of it! Yes, err, well it has an Intel Atom processor, 1GB of DDR2 memory, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, a 1.3 megapixel webcam as well as three USB 2.0 ports. Specs wise that should put it right up against most new ASUS Eee PC and performs pretty close to each other.

MSI is circulating a sales document at the moment which claims, at least on paper, that its DrMOS Active Phase Switching or APS for short is better than ASUS EPU-6 and GIGABYTE DES Advanced power saving features by taking multiple wins against the two motherboard heavyweights.

We aren't saying the claims aren't true but we think that is a big call considering the amount of time and effort that both ASUS and GIGABYTE has put into making their boards as green as possible. We would like to see all three put to the test before making any firm calls as to which is best.

The fancy yellow Nitro overclocking device might just be for you and it should be on store shelves sometime in early November. Apparently it will cost $99 in the USA and €89 in Europe.

Albatron has just announced that it is all set to begin shipping its first mini tablet PC called the "Tee PC".

It's not an ultra powerful system and uses the Windows CE 6.0 operating system which comes pre-installed. It comes with a 7" touch screen, that is capable of a resolution of 800 x 480, and touch pen but there is no slide out keyboard, instead you need to use the included on-screen keyboard.

Lynn from VIA sent us a link to a video they've uploaded which features robots using VIA Embedded parts such as systems based on the Pico-ITX form factor.

We have already had an early look at both ASUS' and GIGABYTE's upcoming X58 motherboards and now it is MSI's turn for some time in the spotlight. It is only fair, right?

MSI will brand its first X58 board with Eclipse naming, maybe suggesting that it can do just that to the competition... MSI explained that it has improved on DrMOS since its X48 and P45 boards and claims that generation two provides better power efficiency than before. FSB is out with Core i7 and has been replaced with QPI or QuickPath interconnect which MSI says provides bandwidth up to 25.6GB/s which is said to be twice as much as the previous processor FSB1600 quad pumped standard.

OCZ continues to dip its nose in new business with the release of its Dominatrix laser gaming mouse.

It's laser works up to a DPI of 2000 with switchable settings of 400/800/1600/2000 depending on your accuracy needs as well as featuring a 500Hz polling report rate. You can independently adjust both "X & Y" axes for a combined maximum of 3200 dpi for lightning fast responsiveness and fluid gameplay, according to OCZ.

OCZ's upcoming PSU range, adorned with the all popular 'Fatal1ty' branding, has been caught on camera by Fudzilla.

Specifications are elusive at the moment, yet it is presumed that they will be similar to the recently launched ModXStream Pro series.

Following on from our report yesterday, it appears that the company is working on a stopgap solution to try and put the brakes on AMD's HD 4870.

The USB 3.0 specification was released only this month on the 13th and already a company by the name of Fresco Logic has managed to run a live and very working demonstration during the Intel Developer Forum.

The company said it used a self-developed software development platform specifically designed for the show allowing it to demonstrate the performance of SuperSpeed USB or USB 3.0. Our computers have been powered by USB 2.0 for almost nine years now and next year is when we should start to see serious adoption of USB 3.0 products.
