iPhone coming to Verizon in January according to sources

The "will the iPhone come to Verizon?" swing has come back towards to side of it happening according to a Bloomberg report. Two sources, who preferred to remain anonymous due to the information not being officially released, stated that the iPhone will be available from Verizon in January. The iPhone has been an AT&T exclusive device since its inception in 2007, but that seems to be coming to an end sooner rather than later if all of the rumblings are true.

Hulu Plus made official

Hulu Plus, the premium service from Hulu, became official today and will be coming to the iPad, iPhone, PS3, and more devices. Costing $10 USD a month, this service expands on Hulu's free lineup with entire seasons of show and other programming that is not available on Hulu at this time. iPod and iPad apps are coming as well as support for Samsung connected TVs and Blu-Ray players. July will bring PS3 support , but the Xbox 360 may not see the service until 2011. Vizio and Sony TVs are said to be in the works for Hulu Plus as well but no timeframe was given on those devices.

JayBird launches new SB2 Bluetooth headphones

JayBird has had some interesting looking Bluetooth headphones on the market for a while now. The headphones are aimed at music fans with music phones that want call capability and audio performance in a Bluetooth headset.


JayBird has announced the follow-up to its SB1 headphones called the SB2 Sportsband. The headphones are available in nine different colors and use an on ear design. The headphones connect to your device via Bluetooth.

Cisco jumps into the tablet game with the Cius

Cisco, mostly known for their networking gear, has announced plans for an Android based ablet pointed mainly at business users. The Cisco Cius is a 7 inch HD capable tablet with 802.11a/b/g/n Wi-Fi, 3G/4G data and Bluetooth 3.0 connectivity to cover almost any communication spectrum out there, as well as a 5mp camera for teleconferencing and battery life posted at 8 hours (convenient for your job, huh?).

Via EPIA-M840 embedded board breaks cover for industrial use

Via has announced a new embedded mainboard and CPU combination for industrial use in kiosks, automation, POI, and HMI applications. The new board is called the EPIA-M840.


It packs in a Via NANO E-series CPU running at 1.6GHz. The machine also has a VIA VX800 media system processor and can support two DDR2 DIMMS for memory.

Acer Aspire AS1551-5448 notebook now available at Amazon

Acer has been making some of the nicer looking and performing of the reasonably price notebooks on the market for a while now. One of the newer Acer machines has turned up for sale at Amazon.


The notebook is called the Acer Aspire AS1551-5448. The notebook has a HD resolution 11.6-inch screen and is black. The screen is LED backlit and the notebook has three USB ports and a memory card reader.

Seagate FreeAgent GoFlex HDD hits 3TB

Sony has announced a new external storage solution with tons of storage space inside. The new drive is called the FreeAgent GoFlex external drive and it has 3TB of storage inside.


Seagate claims that it is the world's first 3TB storage solution. The device has USB 2.0 connectivity by default. You can add other GoFlex adapters to allow the HDD to connect to your PC via USB 3.0 or FireWire 800.

PS3 update v3.40 goes live

If you have been waiting for the update for the PS3 to go live that brings with it access to the new PlayStation Plus service we heard about at E3, the wait is over. The update for the PS3 is now live.


Along with the PlayStation Plus service, the update also adds lot of other features. The new update includes a network photo gallery utility that makes it easier to share pictures with friends and more.

Our Download of the Day today is Fresh View 7.98.

Fresh View gives you the ability to organize and view multimedia files (images, audio, video). Watch movies, listen to music, and view graphics in a slide show. Image files in a folder can be displayed using a number of views, including a thumbnail view that lets you quickly see what your images are without having to open them.

You can convert graphics from one type to another, print, and even create an HTML album. This easy-to-use software supports 86 different formats (more and more added regularly).
